Maryam joined the private department of Ramses School at the age of 5, then joined general education and obtained high school and joined the Academy of Arts at the Higher Institute of Folk arts, Department of Music. She played a major role in raising awareness of people with special needs through seminars and media. Maryam practiced many sports, such as swimming, athletics, table tennis, basketball and equestrian. She also participated in many international competitions in Beirut in 2002, Ireland in 2003, Bahrain in 2014, Cairo in 2014 and the United States of America in 2015, and she won the first places in the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi 2019. Maryam was trained in equestrian sports and became the world champion in it; President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi honored her at the Seventh Youth Conference in 2019. Maryam’s father founded “The Rising Sun Association” for the education, training and care of people with special needs. Maryam works as an assistant teacher in the association.
