In an atmosphere of love to celebrate the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Falak Charitable Foundation, His Metropolitan Bishop Paula, Metropolitan of Tanta and its environs, and the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Folk Foundation held a group iftar on Sunday, March 31, 2024, in a joyful evening.

In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Atta, Deputy Governor, Major General Salah Nabil, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority in Gharbia, Brigadier General Hisham Khorshid, Director of the Military Intelligence Office in Gharbia, Brigadier Hani Muhammad Amer, the Military Advisor, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, journalist Ahmed Schubert, artist Muhammad Tharwat, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Astronomy Foundation. A group of executive and popular leaders from the people of Gharbia Governorate.
And the vice presidents of the university and the deans of the colleges concerned with cooperating with the project.
And many public figures, education, banking and business leaders, and in the presence of 30 Al Folk champions (Down Syndrome champions) and their families at the ancient Marmina Monastery in Babiyar.
It is worth noting that this ceremony coincides with the two-year anniversary of the opening of the Al Folk Project to care for Down Syndrome heroes, as a unique and distinguished project in Egypt and the Middle East to care and rehabilitate this group in an exemplary and comprehensive manner.
In his speech, Dr. Tariq Rahmi, Governor of Gharbia, said, “Thanks to God Almighty for the countless blessings and the gift of the skills of the children we witnessed today, and thanks and eternal appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the founder of the new republic, who cares about every individual in society and his interest in the heroes of people of determination, which indicates Full appreciation to the heroes.”
Metropolitan Paula addressed a word of thanks, saying, “Thanks to God who brought us together today in these blessed days, which combine the fasting of the month of Ramadan with the Coptic Great Fast. Thanks to God who brought us together around a sacred goal, which is serving the angels of Down Syndrome.”
His Eminence Metropolitan Paula also addressed a word of thanks to everyone who participated in the success of this project, led by Dr. Tariq Rahmi, Governor of Gharbia, who continued to periodically follow up and support the project to meet all the needs of Down Syndrome heroes.
On the sidelines of the celebration, a documentary film was shown explaining the objectives of the project, in addition to distinguished paragraphs presented by people with Down syndrome who joined Al Folk, including residency, frequency, and family words that affected the hearts of those present.
